October News:

Our biggest news this month is the new look of our web site.
Web designer Remi Blot has updated our site and added a number of new features:

Updated HGF Awards page
On-line video from the breeding farm in Michigan
A survey of our past ad campaigns and the history of HGF in print
A new Sales page with more information and a list of achievements by HGF foals
New photos of HGF horses, personnel , and friends throughout the site
A News Archive feature at the bottom of every page

HGF's website is interactive. We welcome your comments about our new site or any other aspect of the work of HGF. Please feel free to sign our Guestbook and leave your thoughts.

In other news, we look forward to a visit this month from German Olympian Martin Schaudt who is coming to Michigan to visit his two PRE colts, Genio HGF and Icono HGF (by stallions Grandioso and Idilio, respectively). Martin will spend several days riding the stallions and instructing our riding staff. Martin has been a devoted fan of the PRE horse for many years and we always look forward to his work with our horses.

The end of this month will bring our departure from our Michigan home and the trip south to Wellington. We plan to leave during the last week in October. In the meantime, we hope these beautiful Indian Summer days continue as we wrap up a summer full of activities and good times.

So take a look at all the changes on our site and let us know what you think. We appreciate your feedback .

Congratulations to Rachel Chowanec

Congratulations also to Rachel Chowanec, new owner and rider of HGF's Embrujado. This gifted Junior Rider is one of Lendon Gray's future stars (see www.phelpsmediagroup.com ) and our newest PRE lover. More news of Rachel and Embrujado to come . . .

A special congratulations to Courtney King-Dye

A special congratulations to Courtney King-Dye and her recent debut with Grandioso in New York. Their special chemistry is reflected in a high score of 72.25% in the Prix St. George at the Garden State Classic last weekend. We are excited to watch the two of them continue their progress this winter in Wellington!
